please share your experiences with this, or possible consequences of being outed.. this recent controversy and resulting arguments all stem from people being outed - possibly losing friends and family because most jw's will blindly follow the watchtower's rules to shun them.. among people i know and experiences read here, the grief and loss caused by this is terrible, and maybe now is a good time to put up some experiences here, and put the focus on the worst villians of all - wt policymakers..

What I've found about many who come back or stay in. They learn to live a double life which is common among JW's
They also come back because of being held hostage, missing family members who shunn them, or they their need help. Being held hostage by fear is not living authentically or honest.
I bet if one really has an honest, non judgemental conversation with the ones who came back, a whole other story will unfold.

I was DF'd while inactive. And one of the elders who DF'd me was later DF'd for embezzelment.
My one and only child had gotten involved with the JW's because of an inactive boy who seduced her. He'd preach while having sex with her. She started going to meeting first, he later did too, then dumped her. Turns out he is now a JW ladies man.
She's now shunning me for the past 2 years. She needs her mother. All young women need their mothers in one form or another. Advice, help, girl talk, banking, etc. and most of all LOVE NO ONE else cares for her as I do
We were once very close and considerate of each other. I had her very young, we grew up together
looks like the awaa people are here to stay.
i sense they have withered the rentless criticism and now have been refined for the long haul.
they have been washed in the previous blood of jesus christ and declared fit to the fine fight.
If it wasn't for JWN, there would be no changes to AAWA

Zed, it was the Presedents responsibility. Not Lady Lees. He's the one who should have spoken up, telling the truth, instead of spinning tales while continuing to expose innocent people of FB. This whole thing was a shock and confusing to many. She already posted because of conflict of interest (also being a mod) not to say anyting regarding AAWA.
the watchtower perposely keeps its leaders "cordoned off" for a reason.
the ones really in charge want to be invisible and have been in control since knorr's day, and still think like him.
the gb want like hell to be visible and powerful.

Glad you're feeling better and yes I miss your insightful threads! I do remember a while ago you had spoke of the invisible force who are really at the wheel of the WTS, but you didn't want to get into too much at the time. I did assume it was WT Corp. My other assumption is they are share holders of the WT Corp. Most likey ones who own bigger peices of the pie.

i want to start by saying i will not participate in discussion here about my resignation as a moderator at jwn.. simon please consider this as my resignation from that position.. i have been posting on this board for almost 12 years.
i know some of you a lot, others a little and some not very well at all.
i have remained here for those of you who have needed support as you make the transition out of the wts, who needed someone to listen to your experiences of abuse at the hands of jehovah's witnesses, and to both laugh and cry with you as you progress out of the watchtower society.. we know that we have all experienced the cruelty of abuse of one kind or another.
Many years of determend support you have given JWNand an awesome mod as well.
Personally, I think you did the right thing staying mum re conflict of interest. I NEVER ONCE doubted your intentions and I figured the thread deletion was just an un intentional error which we all make....
I hope you feel you can get support here outside of religion as a friend too. I remember you had wanted advice regarding purse design. Or if you need help with computer stuff, etc. There's plenty here who are willing to help

So many times I hear how when people leave the WTS how lost they become. One can get suggestions on how to start to live once again or even re born (excuse the pun for those who were always in, not knowing anything else)......
has anybody here experienced a bonafide, real, true incident in whicy 'demons' actually interacted with you or did something 'supernatural' that left you convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that satan and his demons exist??.
